Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are at least 18 years old
• People who are willing and able to give their informed consent to take part in the study
• People who have been diagnosed with moderate aortic valve disease, confirmed by an ultrasound of the heart (echocardiogram)

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have severe aortic valve disease (confirmed by heart ultrasound), or who have heart surgery planned, or who are likely to need heart surgery within the next 6 months
• People who have already had a specific minimally invasive heart valve procedure called transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR/TAVI)
• People whose life expectancy is less than 12 months due to a condition other than heart disease, such as cancer, chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, or advanced lung disease
• People with severe dementia who are unable to sign a consent form, care for themselves, or attend the required study visits
• People who are currently experiencing acute pulmonary oedema (sudden fluid build-up in the lungs) or cardiogenic shock (when the heart suddenly cannot pump enough blood) (confirm with trial site)
• People whom the study doctor considers unsuitable to participate or to complete the required follow-up visits, for medical, social, or psychological reasons
• People who are currently taking part in another randomised clinical trial
