Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and have never previously received antiretroviral treatment (ART), either diagnosed between July 2024 and June 2025 (for the forward-looking part of the study) or between January 2020 and June 2023 (for the backward-looking part of the study).
- People whose treating doctor considers them eligible to start a specific HIV medication called B/F/TAF, or who have previously been treated with one of two other HIV medication combinations (TDF+3TC+EFV or DTG/3TC).
- People who are willing and able to attend follow-up visits and take part in study procedures, or who have complete digital medical records available.
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severely reduced kidney function, where the kidneys are filtering below a certain level (confirm with trial site for exact threshold).
- People who also have a Hepatitis B infection, or who have severe liver disease classified as a particular stage of liver damage (confirm with trial site).
- People who currently have active tuberculosis (TB).
