Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a neurocognitive disorder (such as dementia) caused by Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, or mixed dementia, as defined by recognised psychiatric guidelines (DSM-5).
- People whose score on a standard memory and thinking test (called the MMSE) falls between 5 and 26 out of 30, indicating a mild to severe level of cognitive impairment.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose MMSE score is below 5, indicating very severe cognitive impairment.
- People with an unstable heart or cardiovascular condition, or another medical condition that a doctor determines makes physical activity unsafe to participate in.
- People who are expected to be moved to a different care facility within the next 3 months.
- People who are currently experiencing acute (sudden or severe) behavioural problems.
