Group 1 (Prospective – joining going forward):
- People who have been recommended to have a heart procedure to fix a leaky heart valve (called mitral regurgitation) using a specific device called the MitraClip G4

Who may not be able to join:
Group 1 (Prospective):
- People whose life expectancy is estimated to be less than 12 months
- People with other serious health conditions that would make it difficult to attend required study visits
- People with conditions that may affect their ability to follow the study requirements, such as dementia, certain mental health conditions, or substance dependence
- People currently taking part in another clinical trial, or who have previously participated in this specific trial
Group 2 (Retrospective):
- People whose treating doctor is unable to access their original medical records or other required health documents to gather the necessary information for the study
