Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have liver metastases (cancer that has spread to the liver) that originally came from colon cancer, and who are planned to have surgery to remove those metastases with the goal of removing all of the cancer
- For Part 1 of the trial only: people who are in a stable condition within 1 to 3 days after a smaller liver removal surgery, where the non-cancerous liver tissue is normal
- For Parts 2 and 3 of the trial only: people who are planned for a larger liver removal surgery
- People who are assessed as having a low risk of their liver failing after the surgery
- Additional inclusion criteria apply (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver)
- People who have a build-up of fluid in the abdomen (ascites) before surgery
- People who have any other type of cancer affecting the liver or bile ducts, other than the colon cancer that has spread to the liver
- People with a body mass index (a measure of body weight relative to height) above 35
- People with an overall health and physical fitness rating that is assessed as being above a certain threshold before surgery (confirm with trial site for details on this score)
- People whose cancer has spread to the lining of the abdomen (peritoneal carcinomatosis)
- Additional exclusion criteria apply (confirm with trial site)
