Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Systemic Sclerosis (also called scleroderma) based on standard medical classification guidelines.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You are able to speak and understand English.
- You experience moderate to severe bloating or a feeling of fullness/distension in your stomach, as measured by a specific questionnaire used in scleroderma research.
- Any medications you take specifically for gut or digestive problems have remained the same for at least the past 4 weeks.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have had major surgery on your abdomen in the past (though removal of the gallbladder or appendix may still be acceptable — confirm with trial site).
- You have another active condition that could cause abdominal pain, such as inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes, or an unstable thyroid condition.
- You have a known allergy to the sticky pads used for heart monitor (ECG) electrodes.
- You have a medical reason why you cannot receive a therapy that uses electrical stimulation near the abdomen, such as having a cardiac pacemaker or a history of epilepsy (confirm with trial site for full list of restrictions).
