Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 18 or older, of any gender
• People who have diabetes and need an OCT scan (a type of detailed imaging of blood vessels) or a procedure guided by OCT — including those diagnosed based on insulin or tablet use, abnormal fasting blood sugar, or other blood sugar test results meeting World Health Organisation standards
• People who are willing to take part, understand the purpose of the research, and are able to sign a consent form
• People who have a blockage of 50% or more in a blood vessel that has not yet been treated

Who may not be able to join:

• People with a serious blood clotting problem (a specific clotting test result more than three times the upper limit of normal)
• People with a severe drop in blood pressure or shock that cannot be corrected
• People with significantly reduced kidney function (a kidney filtering rate below 30 mL/min/1.73m²)
• People with severe heart failure symptoms (classified as NYHA Class III or above) or a heart pumping function below 30%
• People with a known or suspected heart valve infection or an active widespread infection in the body
• People with difficult-to-control heart rhythm problems who have previously had, or plan to have, coronary bypass surgery during the study
• People with serious other illnesses, such as advanced cancer, where life expectancy is less than 24 months
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who plan to have a child within 24 months and are unwilling to use effective contraception
• People whose target blood vessel has very heavy calcium deposits or bends that would prevent an OCT scan from being completed
• People who have taken part in another clinical trial within the past 3 months and whose primary study results have not yet been finalised
• People the trial investigators consider unsuitable for OCT or for this trial (confirm with trial site)
• People who have more than one problem area in the same blood vessel, where an untreated area is less than 5 mm away from the area being studied
