Who may not be able to join

- People who have lymphedema that was present from birth, lymphedema in both arms, or lymphedema caused by active cancer.
- People who have a neurological condition, a mental illness, axillary web syndrome (a cord-like tightening under the arm after breast cancer surgery), major organ failure, or a condition caused by certain medications (such as steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs, or calcium channel blockers) that could affect lymphedema severity.
- People who have conditions that make complex decongestive physiotherapy unsuitable, such as an active infection, blood clots in the veins, heart-related swelling, lung disease, poor blood supply to the limbs, certain skin conditions such as scleroderma, or allergic reactions to the treatment.
