Who may not be able to join:
- Children who have previously taken any medication containing the same active ingredients as Entresto, including in other clinical studies
- Children who have had an allergic reaction to any ingredient in Entresto
- Children who are currently taking, or have taken within the last 36 hours, a type of blood pressure medication called an ACE inhibitor (this includes medications such as enalapril, captopril, lisinopril, and several others — confirm with trial site for the full list)
- Children who have a history of a condition called angioedema (severe swelling, sometimes caused by certain medications or inherited conditions)
- Children with diabetes who are being treated with a medication called aliskiren fumarate, unless their blood pressure remains very poorly controlled despite other treatments
- Children with severe liver disease (classified as Child-Pugh class C)
- Anyone who is pregnant or may be pregnant
