- The breast cancer has been confirmed by laboratory testing to be HER2 positive (a specific protein found on cancer cells, confirmed by certain test results).

- The person is planning to have surgery to remove the breast cancer, either by removing just the tumour (breast-conserving surgery) or the whole breast, along with lymph node assessment.
- Blood tests show the blood cell counts, liver function, kidney function, and other markers are within acceptable ranges as determined by the trial team.
- Heart scans show the heart is pumping well enough (at least 55% efficiency), and a heart tracing (ECG) shows a normal heart rhythm reading.
- Women who are not menopausal or have not had surgical sterilisation must agree to use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 7 months after the last dose.
- The person has voluntarily agreed to take part and has signed a consent form.
