Who might be able to join this trial:
- People whose first heart ultrasound showed the heart pumping at less than 40% of its normal capacity (a measurement called ejection fraction)
- People whose follow-up heart ultrasound showed the heart pumping at more than 50% of its normal capacity, with the heart's left chamber back to a normal size
- People whose blood levels of a heart stress marker (NTproBNP) fall below certain limits, which vary depending on how well the kidneys are working — the trial site can confirm which limit applies in each individual case
- People who are currently taking more than 3 heart failure medications from specific groups (a RAS blocker, a beta blocker, a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist, and an SGLT-2 inhibitor)
Who may not be able to join:

- People who had a procedure to open or bypass blocked heart arteries within the last 6 months
- People with significant problems with their heart valves
- People with an irregular heart rhythm that requires medication to control the heart rate
- People with chronic kidney disease who also have higher-than-normal levels of protein in their urine (above 30mg/g) (confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant
