Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged between 18 and 70 years old
- People weighing more than 30 kg
- People whose liver function falls within a specific range, known as Child-Pugh score A5 to B7 (confirm with trial site)
- People who have large blood vessel involvement from their liver cancer, classified as Vp1 to Vp3 (confirm with trial site)
- People whose total tumour size across the liver is less than 350 cubic centimetres
- People with a specific liver cancer protein marker (Alpha Fetoprotein) measured at less than 5,000 ng/mL in their blood
- People whose cancer has not spread outside the liver
- People with no medical reasons preventing them from having a liver transplant
- People who are largely able to carry out daily activities, as measured by an ECOG score of 0 or 1 (meaning fully active or restricted only in strenuous activity)
- People who are able to give informed consent to participate
- People whose liver cancer has been confirmed by both medical imaging and a tissue sample (biopsy)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose liver cancer cells are classified as poorly differentiated (meaning the cancer cells look very abnormal under a microscope)
- People who have previously received treatment for liver cancer, other than surgical removal or ablation (a procedure to destroy tumour tissue)
- People whose tumour blood clot extends beyond the main portal vein into surrounding vessels
- People with severe obesity, defined as a BMI of 40 or above
- People who have medical reasons preventing them from safely receiving radiation therapy (Y90 or SBRT) or the medication combination AtezoBev (atezolizumab and bevacizumab)
