AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older (there is no upper age limit)
  • People who have been diagnosed with heart failure, regardless of how well their heart is pumping
  • People whose heart failure symptoms are classified as moderate to severe (NYHA Class III or IV), or those with milder symptoms (NYHA Class II) who have been hospitalised for heart failure at least once in the past 12 months
  • People who have had a specific blood test result (NT-proBNP) within the past 12 months showing elevated levels — the required level depends on age: at least 450 pg/ml for those under 50, at least 900 pg/ml for those aged 50–75, and at least 1800 pg/ml for those over 75

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose heart failure symptoms are classified as very mild (NYHA Class I)

  • People who have already received a mechanical heart pump (left ventricular assist device) or had a heart transplant
