Who may be able to join
- People who have a strong personal preference for no visible scarring on the chest after surgery
- People who have not previously had chest surgery or radiation therapy to the chest
- People who have no health conditions that would make surgery or anesthesia unsafe for them

- People whose tumor is large or positioned in a way that makes it difficult to remove with clear margins or to achieve a satisfactory breast appearance afterward
- People who have widespread areas of calcifications in the breast that appear malignant on imaging
- People where, after attempted removal of the tumor and surrounding tissue, clear (negative) margins cannot be confirmed even after a second surgery
- People who do not wish to take part in the trial
