Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- You are currently having a type of heart attack called an "anterior STEMI" (a serious blockage in a specific artery at the front of the heart)
- Tests show your heart's pumping strength is severely reduced (the heart is pumping less than 35% of its normal capacity), with part of the heart wall not moving properly or bulging outward
- There is no blood clot found inside your heart's main pumping chamber
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a previous heart attack in the same area of the heart, or have had a procedure to open the same heart artery before
- You are in cardiogenic shock (your heart is so weak it cannot pump enough blood to support your body)
- You have a blood clot inside your heart's main pumping chamber
- You have severe kidney disease (confirmed with trial site) or are currently on dialysis
- You have recently had bleeding in the brain, a major bleed that needed a blood transfusion, or your platelet count (cells that help blood clot) is below 100,000
- You have had a stroke within the past three months
- You have an irregular heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation, or any other condition that requires you to take long-term blood thinners
- You are pregnant or have a blood or bone marrow disorder
