Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 34 years old
- People who have tested negative for HIV using a rapid HIV antibody test
- People who identify as gay or bisexual
- People who have used methamphetamine in the past 3 months
- People who have been prescribed HIV PrEP medication and are currently taking it
- People who report not having taken their HIV PrEP medication as prescribed in the past 3 months
- People whose urine test results indicate they have not been taking PrEP as prescribed
- People who report having anal sex without a condom, or having had a sexually transmitted infection (STI), in the past 3 months
- People who are able to attend all required study visits
- People who are fluent in English
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently receiving treatment for a substance use disorder
- People who are HIV positive
- People with a medical or mental health condition that the principal investigator (the doctor leading the trial) believes would interfere with taking part in the study (confirm with trial site)
- People who are not able to give informed consent
- People who are not able to attend the required study visits
- People who have plans that would prevent them from completing the study, such as upcoming surgery, major medical treatments like chemotherapy, incarceration, or plans to travel or move away from San Antonio, Texas
