Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 19 years old or older
• You are scheduled to have minor sinus surgery or a coblation procedure (a type of procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to remove or shrink tissue)

Who may not be able to join:

• You have cystic fibrosis
• You have a condition affecting your blood vessels throughout your body, or a disorder that affects your blood's ability to clot
• You have a history of kidney failure or serious kidney disease
• You have a history of liver failure or serious liver disease
• You are currently in an altered mental state, such as from a head injury, alcohol use, or drug use
• You have a known or suspected allergy to lidocaine or sensorcaine (these are types of local anaesthetics/numbing medicines)
• You have used inhaled drugs (such as cocaine) in the past 6 months
• You have tumours in your nose
• You or a close family member have a history of a serious reaction to anaesthesia called malignant hyperthermia (confirm with trial site)
• You have a condition where your breathing is slow or shallow (respiratory depression)
