- Women between the ages of 18 and 75.
- People who are scheduled for planned (non-emergency) breast cancer surgery, either full breast removal or surgery that removes only part of the breast.
- People who have been assessed as generally healthy or having only mild systemic illness based on a standard pre-surgery health classification (ASA physical status I or II).

- People who have an active infection or skin sores at the site where the injection would be given.
