For people with Dry Eye Syndrome:

• People aged between 20 and 75 years
• People whose Schirmer's test result (a test that measures tear production) shows less than 10 mm in 5 minutes, indicating low tear production

For people with Sjögren's Syndrome (an immune system condition affecting moisture-producing glands):

• People aged between 20 and 75 years
• People with either primary or secondary Sjögren's Syndrome
• People whose condition meets the 2002 American-European Consensus Criteria for Sjögren's Syndrome (confirm with trial site)
• People with no abnormal results in immune system, liver, kidney, or blood function tests

For Healthy Control participants (people without these conditions):

• People aged between 20 and 75 years
• People without any ongoing chronic (long-term) illness

Who may not be able to join:

For people with Dry Eye Syndrome:

• People who are pregnant
• People who currently have eye inflammation or an infectious eye disease
• People who have had eye surgery

For people with Sjögren's Syndrome:

• People with a history of alcohol misuse, diabetes, or a serious life-threatening health condition
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• People who have received high-dose steroid treatment (steroid pulse therapy) within the three months before the study begins

For Healthy Control participants:

• People who have Sjögren's Syndrome or Dry Eye Syndrome
