Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are living with HIV.
• People who are living in a fishing community on most days or nights.
• People who screen positive for potentially harmful drinking habits based on a standard questionnaire (a score of 4 or higher on a tool called the AUDIT-C).
• People who have been on HIV treatment (antiretroviral therapy) for more than 6 months.
• People who are not planning to move away from the area within the next 6 months.
• People who own a mobile phone and can be contacted by phone.
• People who show a sign that their HIV treatment may not be working as well as it should, meaning one of the following applies: their most recent HIV viral load test (taken within the last 6 months) showed the virus was detectable; OR their last viral load test was between 6 and 13 months ago, showed the virus was detectable, and they report missing 2 or more doses of HIV medication in the past 2 weeks; OR clinic records show no viral load test in the past 13 months, and they report missing 2 or more doses of HIV medication in the past 2 weeks.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who appear visibly intoxicated at the time of enrollment (though they may be considered again when not intoxicated).
• People who do not speak Luganda or English.
• People who currently receive most of their work payments through mobile money or other digital payment methods.
• People who took part in a previous related study called the Kisoboka pilot trial.
• People who are unable to read basic Luganda or English.
