Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are Chinese, right-handed, and between 60 and 80 years old
- You have had tinnitus (ringing or noise in the ears) for at least 3 months
- You have sleep problems, shown by scoring above 5 on a standard sleep quality questionnaire called the PSQI
- You are able to manage your daily activities on your own without significant difficulty
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been found to have a problem with your ear canal or eardrum after an ear examination
- You have previously been diagnosed with Meniere's disease or a type of non-cancerous ear tumour called an acoustic neuroma
- You have a history of neurological conditions (such as stroke or epilepsy) or mental health disorders
- You have physical health problems that would make it hard for you to attend treatment sessions regularly
- You are already receiving regular treatments such as talking therapy (cognitive behavioural therapy) or music therapy
- You are currently taking medication that affects your mood, mind, or hearing ability
- You have significant difficulties with communication (confirm with trial site)
