Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had a CardioMEMS pressure sensor implanted in their heart (treatment group only)
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of the sensor implant
- People who have a history of a serious worsening of heart failure or fluid buildup related to heart failure, shown by at least one of the following: a hospital stay due to heart failure, or elevated levels of certain heart-related markers in their blood (BNP or NT-proBNP)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had a heart transplant or have a long-term mechanical heart support device
- People who were hospitalised due to severe heart failure with very low blood pressure (cardiogenic shock) or a serious body-wide infection (sepsis)
- People who have previously had a pulmonary artery pressure sensor implanted (control group only)
