Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of Down syndrome.
- People from households where English is the main language spoken at home.
- People who have a nonverbal mental age of at least 36 months, measured through an assessment of everyday adaptive skills at the start of the trial.
- People who have at least one sleep problem happening five or more nights per week, as reported by a caregiver. Sleep problems may include resisting going to bed, taking a long time to fall asleep, needing certain conditions to fall asleep, waking during the night, or waking very early in the morning.
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severe sensory or physical impairments that would get in the way of taking part in the treatment activities.
- People who are unable to complete assessments or take part in treatment sessions due to behavioural or medical conditions.
- People who are currently taking part in another behavioural or sleep-related treatment program at the same time.
- People whose caregiver is unable or unwilling to provide accurate reports or help with the treatment activities as needed.
