Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are over 40 years old
- You are HIV-positive
- You have been on a stable HIV treatment (antiretroviral therapy) for more than 6 months, with two recent test results showing the virus is undetectable in your blood
- Your immune cell count (CD4) has been at a healthy level (above 200 cells/mm³) for more than 2 years before joining the trial
- You are able to understand what the study involves, follow the study procedures, and are willing to give written consent to take part

- You are not able to follow the study procedures
- You have a history of serious kidney problems (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of serious liver problems (confirm with trial site)
- You currently have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection
- You have any ongoing illness that the trial doctor feels would prevent you from safely taking part
- You have a history of cancer
- You are currently using illegal drugs through injection
- Your screening test results show any other abnormal findings that the trial doctor considers relevant
- You have previously used or are currently using a type of medication called a GLP-1 agonist (such as medications used for diabetes or weight loss — confirm with trial site)
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding (for women only)
- You are currently taking certain medications, including some antipsychotics, omega-3 supplements, certain blood pressure medications (Telmisartan or Irbesartan), certain diabetes medications (Thiazolidinediones), or regularly taking anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs)
- You have an inherited condition that causes very high cholesterol levels (familial hypercholesterolaemia)
