Who might be able to join this trial:

- People who are regularly taking certain sleep or anxiety medications, including benzodiazepines (such as Ativan or Xanax), Z-drugs (such as Ambien or Lunesta), certain antidepressants used for sleep (such as trazodone or mirtazapine), antihistamines used as sleep aids (such as Benadryl), or barbiturates.
- People who have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder other than insomnia, such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, or REM sleep behavior disorder.
- People who have been identified as being at high risk of falling.
- People whose sleep is frequently disrupted mainly due to another medical condition unrelated to insomnia, such as chronic pain, needing to urinate frequently, or upper respiratory infections.
- People who have previously received CBT-I (a type of talk therapy specifically for insomnia) before.
