For the ADHD group:
- You (or your child) must have been diagnosed with ADHD based on standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5)
For the control (comparison) group:
- You (or your child) must not have a diagnosis of any psychological, neuropsychological, or intellectual condition, or a learning disorder
Who may not be able to join:
For the ADHD group:
- Born prematurely (before full term)
- Was exposed to alcohol or other substances before birth
- Has had a traumatic brain injury
- Has another neurodevelopmental condition, such as autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability
- Has anxiety or a mood disorder
- Is currently experiencing psychosis
- Has bipolar disorder
- Has conduct disorder
- Is currently taking longer-acting psychiatric medications that cannot be safely stopped the day before a research visit
For the control (comparison) group:
- Born prematurely (before full term)
- Was exposed to alcohol or other substances before birth
- Has had a traumatic brain injury
- Is currently taking any medications that cannot be safely stopped the day before a research visit
