- Your heart failure is related to pregnancy, chemotherapy, a viral heart infection, certain conditions affecting only the right side of the heart, or conditions affecting the sac around the heart
- You have severe lung disease that requires you to use oxygen at home or take steroid tablets regularly
- You have high blood pressure in the arteries of your lungs that is not caused by another heart or lung condition
- You have significant disease affecting the valves on the left side of your heart
- You have anaemia (low red blood cell levels, specifically haemoglobin below 100 g/L)
- Your kidneys are not working well enough (kidney function below a certain level, confirmed by a blood test — confirm with trial site)
- You have another serious non-heart-related health condition that would make taking part difficult or unsafe (confirm with trial site)
- You had a worsening episode of heart failure within the last 3 months
