Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) using a specific set of recognised diagnostic guidelines.

• People whose condition makes them suitable for a type of liver procedure that blocks blood flow to the tumour (TAE or TACE), as determined by their medical team.

• People whose liver is functioning reasonably well, as measured by a scoring system called Child-Pugh (a score of 7 or below).

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have previously had a liver transplant.
• People who have previously received radioembolisation (a radiation-based liver treatment) or radiotherapy directed at liver tumours.
• People with serious heart or cardiovascular conditions, severe kidney disease, or an active infection affecting the whole body.
• People with significantly low blood oxygen levels (below 92% without the use of supplemental oxygen).
