Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who self-identify as Hispanic and/or Latino(a)
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of a solid tumour or a blood cancer
- People who finished their main cancer treatment (such as chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation) at least 3 months before joining — though being on hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, or other long-term treatments is acceptable
- People who are experiencing sleep problems, as measured by a score of 3 or higher on a specific sleep question using a scale of 0 (no sleep disturbance) to 10 (worst possible sleep disturbance)
- People who can read and understand English and/or Spanish
- People who are not very physically active (doing less than 150 minutes of vigorous exercise per week over the past 3 months)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been practising Latin dancing regularly in the past year (meaning 2–3 times per week for at least two months without a long break)
- People who are not able to speak and read English or Spanish well enough to participate
- People who are not able to understand and consent to taking part in the study
- People who have medical conditions that can cause sleep problems on their own, such as sleep apnoea, restless leg syndrome, or working night/rotating shifts
- People who regularly use a walker or wheelchair to get around
- People who have fractures that are still healing or have not yet healed
- People who have heart failure
- People whose life expectancy is estimated to be less than 12 months
- People who are not willing to be randomly assigned to a study group or are not able to commit to 8 weeks of classes and a follow-up assessment
