Who may be able to join
- People who are scheduled for a nipple-sparing mastectomy (breast removal that keeps the nipple) with immediate breast reconstruction for invasive breast cancer, a pre-cancerous condition called DCIS, or because they carry a BRCA gene mutation linked to breast cancer risk.

Who may not be able to join

- People who have a type of breast cancer called inflammatory breast cancer.

- People who have diabetes that is not well managed or controlled.
