Who may be able to join
- People who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease according to the 2024 Alzheimer's Association diagnostic criteria, and whose disease is at a moderate stage.
- People whose score on a standard dementia assessment tool (called the CDR-SB) falls between 9.5 and 15.5.
- People aged between 55 and 80 years old.
- People who have been taking a stable dose of approved Alzheimer's medications (such as donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine, or memantine, or a combination) for at least 3 months before the screening visit.
- People who have a designated support person (such as a family member or carer) who agrees to participate, spends at least 10 hours per week with them, and can attend study visits or be available by phone at set times.
- People who, in the opinion of the trial investigator, have sufficient ability to read, see, and hear well enough to complete cognitive testing at the time of screening.
Who may not be able to join

- People who have a diagnosed brain or nervous system condition other than Alzheimer's disease, or any other condition that has a long-term negative effect on thinking and memory.
- People who cannot have an MRI scan, for example due to metal implants, or who are unable to tolerate the scanning procedure.
- People who have previously been treated with ozanimod or any similar type of medication (called sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor regulators) for Alzheimer's disease before this study.
- People who have significant liver, neurological, lung, eye, hormonal, kidney, or infectious conditions, or other serious illnesses that could interfere with the study or put them at risk, in the opinion of the investigator.
- People with certain heart-related conditions, including: a heart attack, unstable chest pain, stroke, mini-stroke, severe heart failure requiring hospitalisation, or untreated severe sleep apnea within the past 6 months; a resting heart rate below 55 beats per minute or certain heart rhythm problems (unless a pacemaker is in place); or an abnormally long heart electrical interval on an ECG (confirm with trial site for specific values).
- People who have received, or are planning to receive, a live or live-attenuated vaccine within 4 weeks before starting the study treatment, during the study, or within 90 days after finishing the study treatment.
- People who have a history of a serious allergic reaction to any medication, such as severe anaphylaxis or significant liver reactions caused by a drug.
