Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have been diagnosed by a doctor with arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, or fibromyalgia
- You are able to read and write in English
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a medical reason why you should not exercise (other than your arthritis)
- You currently do more than 45 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity, as measured by a specific activity tracker called an Actigraph

- You are planning to move away from the Columbia, South Carolina area within the next 12 months
- You do not own a device that works with a Fitbit (confirm with trial site)
- You have high blood pressure that is not well controlled (confirm with trial site for specific numbers)
- You are planning to have a surgery that affects your ability to move within the next 12 months
- You have a serious problem with memory or thinking
- You are not willing to be randomly assigned to one of the 3 study groups, do not think you could stick to the activity goals, or do not think you could work up to being active for 150 minutes per week
