Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with heart failure, either in the past or currently, with symptoms ranging from mild to moderate (the heart is not pumping as well as it should, but the person is still able to do some daily activities)
- People whose heart's main pumping chamber has been measured as working at less than 40% of its normal capacity
- People whose condition is currently stable and not changing rapidly
- People who have previously had, or are currently having, a test that measures how well the heart and lungs work during exercise (such as a treadmill or cycling test)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a heart-related procedure or treatment already planned
- People whose condition is currently unstable
- People with a history of blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), significant problems with heart valves, disease affecting the sac around the heart, severe chronic lung disease (COPD), chest pain during exercise, abnormal heart electrical readings during exercise, serious heart rhythm problems (either too slow or too fast), or any other health condition that affects their ability to exercise
