Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children and teenagers between 10 and 18 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with a long-term, non-inflammatory chronic pain condition (a type of ongoing pain not caused by inflammation)
- People who are actively seen at least twice a year by the Pediatric Rheumatology and/or Pediatric Pain Clinics at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center
- At least one parent or legal guardian must sign a consent form agreeing to participation (in cases where parents are separated, both may need to sign — confirm with trial site)
- Participants aged 16 or older must also personally sign the consent form themselves
Who may not be able to join:
- Cases where a consent form cannot be obtained from the young person or their parent/legal guardian
- Cases where the parent or legal guardian is unable to provide consent
- People with serious medical conditions such as bone metastasis (cancer that has spread to the bones)
- People who are unable to take part in Shiatsu therapy sessions (a type of hands-on pressure therapy)
- People who have received Shiatsu therapy in the 6 months before joining the study
- People whose parent/legal guardian has refused to allow participation, or who have refused themselves
