Who might be able to join this trial:
- You (or your child) must be willing and able to sign a consent form, or have a legal guardian do so on their behalf.
- You (or your child) must have a confirmed diagnosis of insomnia disorder.
- The participant must be a male or female between the ages of 2 and 17 years old (inclusive).
- The sleep problems must not be caused by another medication the person is taking.
Who may not be able to join:
- The participant cannot take the study drug (tasimelteon) every day, or has had a bad reaction to it in the past.
- The participant has signs of liver problems or reduced liver function.
- Females who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding are not eligible.
- The participant has tested positive for recreational drugs or drugs of abuse.
