Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 years old
- People who are currently experiencing moderate to severe depression, based on a score of 11 or higher on a standard depression questionnaire called the PHQ-9M
- People who are currently having significant sleep problems, based on a score of 2 or higher on the sleep-related question within that same questionnaire
- People who can read, write, and communicate in English well enough to take part in the study activities
Who may not be able to join:
- People with evidence of obstructive sleep apnea (a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep)
- People with evidence of restless legs syndrome (a condition causing uncomfortable urges to move the legs, especially at night)
- People with evidence of psychosis (a condition involving a loss of contact with reality, such as hearing or seeing things others do not)
- People with evidence of bipolar disorder (a condition involving extreme mood swings between highs and lows)
- People with evidence of a developmental disability that would make it difficult to understand and follow the study procedures, based on medical records and screening assessments
