Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Insomnia Disorder (as defined by DSM-5 medical guidelines) for at least 3 months
- People whose sleep quality scores above 5 on a standard sleep quality measurement tool called the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)
- People aged 8 years or older
- People who have completed at least a junior high school level of education
- People who are willing to take part and sign a written consent form agreeing to participate
- People who have depressive symptoms, measured as a score of 16 or higher on a standard depression rating scale called the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a serious physical illness, a major mental health condition, or who are considered at risk of suicide
- People who have been diagnosed with, or are suspected of having, sleep-related breathing problems, restless legs syndrome, or disrupted body-clock sleep patterns, or who work shift hours
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are currently receiving any form of psychological therapy or counselling
