Who may be able to join
- People who are willing to take part and have given written consent to participate.
- People who have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (a type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy) and are currently staying in hospital.

- People who have a mental or cognitive (thinking or memory-related) disorder that requires medication.
- People who are using corticosteroids or any medications that contain corticosteroids (a type of steroid medication).
- People whose baby has a known abnormality.
- People who have other ongoing health conditions besides gestational diabetes (for example, high blood pressure, Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, or thyroid disorders).
- People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher (a measure of body weight relative to height).
- People who are discharged from hospital before the third day of the intervention.
