Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a doctor, and this is confirmed through a questionnaire during an interview for the study
- You have access to the internet
- You are willing to avoid other psychological or talking therapies while taking part in the study
- You have a Swedish personal ID number and currently live in Sweden or Finland
- If you take antidepressant or anti-seizure medication, your dose has been stable for at least 4 weeks before the study starts
- You are willing to visit Karolinska Institutet in person to take part in pain tests on 3 to 4 occasions
- You agree to take part and give your formal consent
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a serious depression, anxiety disorder, eating disorder, or stress-related illness that needs treatment, or you currently have PTSD, burnout syndrome, unstable or untreated bipolar disorder, severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, or a severe eating disorder (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently having thoughts of suicide or self-harm (confirm with trial site)
- You have a psychotic illness
- You are 29 weeks pregnant or more at the time treatment would begin
- You have another physical health condition that needs urgent treatment or is considered your main health problem, including other significant pain conditions or chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)
- You currently have a problem with alcohol or drug misuse
- You currently use opioid painkillers
- You do not have enough knowledge of Swedish or of using a computer to take part in a text-based treatment programme
