Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form
- You speak English or Spanish fluently
- You have had ringing or buzzing in your ears (tinnitus) for more than 30 days, and you notice it during at least 75% of your waking hours
- Your tinnitus is at least mild, based on a standard questionnaire score (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have severe anxiety, based on a standard questionnaire score (confirm with trial site)
- Your tinnitus is not a sound you hear, or it pulses in rhythm (such as in time with your heartbeat)
- Your tinnitus is rated as catastrophic in severity, based on a standard questionnaire score (confirm with trial site)
- Your tinnitus comes and goes rather than being ongoing
- You have abnormal ear pressure test results (confirm with trial site)
- You have a significant difference between how well you hear sounds through air versus through bone in your ear, at two or more nearby hearing frequencies (confirm with trial site)
- You have certain ear conditions, including but not limited to: a type of ear tumor (acoustic neuroma/vestibular schwannoma), chronic ear disease, Ménière's disease, documented fluctuating hearing loss, or hearing damage caused by medications
- You have a jaw joint disorder (temporomandibular joint disorder)
- You are currently receiving any medical, drug-based, or therapeutic treatment for tinnitus or other ear conditions
- You currently use hearing aids
- You are experiencing dizziness at the time of signing the consent form or at the time treatment begins
- You are not able to give your own consent to participate
- You are under 18 years old (including infants, children, and teenagers)
- You are pregnant
- You are currently incarcerated
