Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome (a condition involving pain in the muscles)
• People who have all of their natural teeth, with none missing
• People who have not previously received any treatment for jaw joint or jaw muscle disorders
• People whose jaw-related pain comes from the muscles only, not from a structural problem with the jaw joint itself

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have osteoporosis and are taking bisphosphonate medications for it
• People who have previously had botulinum toxin (such as Botox) injected into the jaw muscle area
• People who have a bleeding disorder or who take blood-thinning medications
• People who have a systemic muscle or nerve condition, such as myasthenia gravis or ALS (motor neurone disease)
• People who have an active infection, an open wound, or a skin condition affecting the face
• People who have had a facial aesthetic procedure — such as fillers or PRP — within the past six months
• People who have a severe psychiatric (mental health) condition or who regularly take psychiatric medications
• People who are unlikely to follow the study procedures or attend all required follow-up appointments
• People whose body mass index (BMI) falls outside the normal healthy range, including those considered underweight or overweight
