Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer), either through a tissue sample or through liver cirrhosis plus characteristic scan findings on CT or MRI.
• People whose first treatment for liver cancer (using the drug combination atezolizumab and bevacizumab, known as "Atezo-Bev") showed a significant response — meaning scans showed the tumour either disappeared completely or shrank noticeably (as measured by a standard system called RECIST v1.1).
• People whose cancer had, or had not, spread into the major blood vessels near the liver before starting Atezo-Bev treatment.
• People whose cancer had, or had not, spread to areas outside the liver before starting Atezo-Bev treatment.

Who may not be able to join:

• People whose liver cancer is a specific rare subtype called fibrolamellar carcinoma, or a mixed type involving both liver and bile duct cancer cells.
• People who received a type of immunotherapy called an anti-CTLA4 antibody at the same time as Atezo-Bev (note: people who received Atezo-Bev combined with certain other investigational drugs such as tiragolumab, relatlimab, or tocilizumab may still be eligible — confirm with trial site).
• People who received certain local treatments directed at the liver — such as chemoembolisation, arterial chemotherapy infusion, radioembolisation, radiofrequency ablation, or microwave ablation — at the same time as Atezo-Bev, before a confirmed tumour response was achieved or before those treatments were being used with curative intent.
