Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are older than 18 and no older than 70 years of age
- Both men and women are eligible
- People who have been diagnosed with primary liver cancer (HCC) or bile duct cancer within the liver (ICC)
- People who are planned to have surgery to remove the tumour, or treatment to shrink it before surgery
- People whose cancer has been confirmed through a tissue sample taken during surgery or a biopsy
- People whose tumour is located no more than 8 cm below the skin surface
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study period
- People who have a history of other types of cancer
- People who have significant heart, lung, brain, or kidney problems
- People whose tumour is found to be more than 8 cm below the skin surface on ultrasound
- People who have a large amount of fluid build-up in the abdomen
- People who are unable to follow instructions during the examination, such as holding their breath when asked
- People who have an allergy to ultrasound contrast agents (a substance used to improve ultrasound images)
