- People who have had a heart attack and have since had a specific heart scan (called a cardiac MRI) at Anzhen Hospital at least one month after the heart attack, during a stable period of recovery

- People who already had a defibrillator device (ICD or CRT-D) implanted in their heart before their heart attack
- People who had already been diagnosed with a heart rhythm disorder — such as long QT syndrome or Brugada syndrome — before their heart attack
- People who have a serious illness at the same time, such as advanced cancer, that is expected to result in a life expectancy of less than one year
- People who had already been diagnosed with a non-heart-attack-related heart muscle disease — such as dilated, hypertrophic, or restrictive cardiomyopathy — before their heart attack
- People who have significant heart valve disease, or who have previously had a mechanical heart valve replacement
- People who are unwilling to attend follow-up appointments as part of the trial
