Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (FM) using established 2016 diagnostic guidelines
- You are 18 years of age or older
- Your fibromyalgia is moderate to severe, has not improved with non-medication treatments, and you have not yet tried the standard medications recommended for fibromyalgia
- Your pain level rates 4 or higher on a scale of 0–10
- Your liver function blood test results are within an acceptable range (confirm with trial site)
- Your kidneys are functioning at a sufficient level, based on a standard blood test measurement (confirm with trial site)
- You are willing and able to give your consent to participate and can understand and follow the study requirements
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had an allergic reaction in the past to pregabalin, mirogabalin, or any ingredients in these medications
- You have previously been diagnosed with epilepsy or depression that requires antidepressant medication
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have serious ongoing health conditions such as poorly controlled high blood pressure, poorly controlled diabetes, or significant heart problems
- You have other pain conditions, whether short-term or long-term, in addition to fibromyalgia
