Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must currently be receiving treatment with either dupilumab (300 mg) or mepolizumab (100 mg) every four weeks (these are injectable medications used to treat certain conditions including nasal polyps).
- You must have been receiving this medication at the same dosing schedule for at least three months without any changes.
- For at least one year while on this medication, your chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps must be considered "partly controlled," meaning you experience 1 to 2 of the following seven symptoms: nasal blockage most days, thick or discoloured mucus/drip most days, facial pain or pressure most days, reduced sense of smell, sleep problems or fatigue, signs of inflammation seen during a nasal examination, or having needed at least one course of rescue treatment such as steroid tablets, surgery, or antibiotics.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose condition has responded very well to their medication and who have none of the seven symptoms listed above.
- People whose condition has responded poorly to their medication and who have more than two of the seven symptoms listed above.
- People who have a cancer diagnosis that the trial doctor believes would make participation unsafe or unsuitable.
- People who are unable to read and understand written Danish, as questionnaires are provided in Danish only.
- People who are currently receiving this type of medication for any condition other than asthma (using it for asthma alone is allowed).
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent to take part.
- People who the trial doctor decides are not suitable to participate, for any reason.
- People who become pregnant during the study, or who are currently undergoing active IVF treatment (confirm with trial site for full details).
