Who may be able to join
- Adults aged 18 to 75 years.
- People with a good general health and activity level, rated 0 or 1 on a standard oncology performance scale (ECOG).
- People with a laboratory-confirmed invasive breast cancer where the primary tumour is larger than 2 centimetres, and the cancer is either early-stage or locally advanced (but not spread to distant parts of the body).
- People whose breast cancer tests positive for HER2, confirmed by standard laboratory methods.
- People whose breast cancer has been tested for estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PgR) status, with results available.
- People whose bone marrow, kidneys, liver, and blood clotting are all functioning at adequate levels.
- People whose heart pumping function (left ventricular ejection fraction) is 50% or above.
- Women who could become pregnant, and men whose partners could become pregnant, who agree to use highly effective contraception or avoid intercourse during the study and for at least 7 months after the last dose — and women who have a negative pregnancy test within 7 days before enrolling.
- People who are willing to provide tissue samples for research purposes.
- People who voluntarily agree to participate and sign the informed consent form.
Who may not be able to join

- People whose breast cancer has spread to distant parts of the body (stage IV metastatic breast cancer).
- People who have invasive breast cancer in both breasts at the same time.
- People who have previously received any anti-cancer treatment for their breast cancer.
- People who have had another cancer diagnosis within the past 5 years — though people who had another cancer treated with surgery alone and have been disease-free for 5 continuous years, or who have had certain cured, limited cancers such as cervical carcinoma in situ, non-melanoma skin cancer, or certain superficial bladder tumours, may still be considered (confirm with trial site).
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial of an anti-cancer drug within the 4 weeks before joining this trial.
- People with uncontrolled or significant heart or cardiovascular disease.
- People with a known allergy to any of the study drugs or their ingredients.
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
- People with any other condition that the trial investigators consider makes participation inappropriate.
