Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (confirmed by a lab test on tissue) and scans show it may have spread to the liver
- The liver tumor is at least 2 cm in size, as seen on a CT or MRI scan
- Your doctors have already planned surgery to remove part of your liver as part of your standard treatment, regardless of this study
- You are 18 years of age or older

- You are able to understand and willing to sign a consent form for both the surgery and the research study before any procedures begin
- If you are able to have children (male or female), you must agree to use effective birth control starting before treatment and for at least 3 months (men) or 6 months (women) after the device is placed
- If you are breastfeeding, you must agree to stop breastfeeding for 14 days after the device is inserted
Who may not be able to join:
- The location of your tumor makes it impossible to place the small medical device
- You are pregnant at the time of joining the trial or at the time of surgery, because the medications involved are known to be harmful to an unborn baby
- You have had or currently have a second, separate cancer whose history or treatment could affect the safety or results of this study
- Your cancer has spread outside the liver, or the liver tumors cannot be fully removed by surgery, based on your baseline scans
