Who might be able to join this trial:
- A camera examination (endoscopy) of your nose shows nasal polyps on both sides, with a combined score of 4 or higher (at least 2 points per side)
- You have had a blocked nose for more than 3 months, with a symptom score of 2 or more out of 3, and/or a reduced sense of smell scoring 2 or more out of 3
- Test results show a specific type of inflammation (called "type 2") — this may be measured from nasal polyp tissue or a blood test; you need to meet at least 2 out of the 3 main criteria listed above (confirm with trial site)
- You have already tried standard treatment for at least 4 weeks, including a nasal steroid spray for more than 4 weeks, without enough improvement
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with certain specific conditions such as cystic fibrosis, Young's syndrome, Kartagener syndrome, a particular type of polyp called antrochoanal polyp, or a condition caused by overuse of nasal decongestant sprays
- You have had an upper respiratory infection (such as a cold or sinus infection) in the past 2 weeks
- You have had an asthma attack or worsening asthma in the past month
- You have HIV
- You have had a parasitic infection in the past 6 months
- You have had an allergic reaction to the study drug being tested (unless it was a reaction to aspirin specifically)
- You have a known allergy to monoclonal antibody medicines or a type of drug that targets a substance called IL-5 (confirm with trial site)
- You have taken steroid tablets or pills by mouth in the past month
- You are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- You have another serious illness that is not well controlled
- You have previously had sinus surgery for nasal polyps
- You have a significantly bent nasal passage (deviated septum) that blocks airflow on one side — a mild bend may still be acceptable
- The trial doctor feels, for any reason, that you are not a suitable candidate for this study
