Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman between 18 and 75 years old
- You are right-handed
- You are able to read and write
- You have been officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia based on recognised medical guidelines (ACR 2010–2016 criteria)
- Your pain has been rated 4 or higher out of 10 on most days over the past 30 days
- You are willing to keep your medication doses the same throughout the treatment period (pain relief medications may be an exception)
- You are able to swallow tablets
- You are able to understand and follow instructions for using a brain stimulation device at home
Who may not be able to join:
- You live more than 250 km away from Porto Alegre
- You are currently pregnant
- You have a serious systemic illness that is not well controlled
- You have a chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease (such as rheumatoid arthritis) (confirm with trial site)
- You have an underactive thyroid that has not been treated
- You are currently receiving treatment for active cancer
- You have had problems with alcohol or drug misuse in the past 6 months
- You have a psychiatric condition that is not well controlled and involves a risk of suicide with a specific plan
- You are taking duloxetine (an antidepressant/pain medication) at a dose higher than 60 mg per day
- You have any metal implants in your brain
- You have any medical device implanted in your brain
- You have a cardiac pacemaker
- You have a cochlear implant (a hearing device implanted in the ear)
- You have a neurological disorder (a condition affecting the brain or nervous system) (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of a serious brain injury or brain surgery
